Why do men lie... a friend of mine was dating a man for a while.. he always told her?

People change their mind sometimes. It's not like he lied. At the time he may have honestly believed that he would never want to date a woman with a child, but maybe as he got older or whatever, he decided it wasn't such a deal breaker as he earlier thought. Maybe the woman was very special so he looked passed that. Who knows. And whose to say someone is a skank? How do you define skank? Maybe said skank is only a skank because she was the next girlfriend he had and your friend was jealous of her.
