Is there anyway i can get my hair permitaly shrait?

I cant live with my curly poofy frizzy hair anymore im don't with it i don't want to deal with it at all is there anyway i can get it permitly strait? i cant go to the pool with my friends because im worried about it after wards and they have to see me like that... Its U.G.L.Y!! HELP PLEASE!
